Become part of Team WAAT4 by taking part in the WAAT4 Challenge 2019, and raise funds for the vulnerable within the communities.
Attracting over 550 participants and over 1,000 spectators each year, this iconic event has become a must do in the outdoor calendar.
With 2 routes to choose from it doesn't matter whether you've never done a navigation event before or are a champion of the mountains – there’s something for all abilities and ambitions!
The WAAT4 Challenge takes place at the Rugby Fields, Parc de Pugh, Brecon. From here you will navigate through the iconic landmarks of the Brecon Beacons.
There are 2 routes available: 40km and 20km
There are 4 competition categories available: Competitors Cup, Emergency Services Cup, Forces Cup and a Young Competitors (14-18 Years) Cup.
Teams to consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 persons.

Registration to secure a place at this event costs just £35 per team member and we ask that you pledge to raise a minimum of £50 per team member in sponsorship for our nominated Charities.
Participants must be over 14 years (14-17 year olds must be accompanied by a team member of 18yrs and over).

You’ll receive support from our Team, including medical trained personnel throughout the weekend
Camping and Parking
Competitors camping, toilets, showers and parking is included in the cost of your registration
You will receive a free packed lunch, water, tea and coffee prior to the start
Marshalled checkpoints, fully stocked with water, tea and coffee
Finishers' Medal and T-Shirt
Receive your well earned t-shirt and medal as you cross the line

Sense of Achievement
The sense of achievement you feel as you finish the challenge is amazing
Thousands of people have taken part
Unwind with friends and family – 500 seat marquee, with bar and live music
On the Friday evening there will be a Team Captains briefing, food and drink will be available to purchase
On Saturday’s presentation evening there will be free (hot) food for all competitors
“Friends and family may purchase food on both evenings. Breakfast rolls on sale on the Saturday morning”
